I am Lana Abu-Hajjah, and I am proud to call Lancaster my home after arriving here as a refugee. I am originally from Tulkarem, in the West Bank of Palestine, and my journey has shaped who I am today. Currently, I work as a phlebotomist at a hospital, and I am also a trained nurse.
Being a part of this exhibition holds great meaning for me. It is an opportunity to shed light on the ongoing tragedy in Palestine, to bring attention to the genocide and suffering my people continue to face. This exhibition allows me to raise awareness about my homeland and share a piece of the Palestinian struggle with those who may not know or fully understand.
While I may not be able to physically help my people, this is my way of contributing, of amplifying the voices that need to be heard. I wish I could do more, but through this platform, I hope to honor those who are still there, enduring, and fighting for their freedom.
